CHICAGO, Sept. 1 (UPI) -- Grains were mixed on the Chicago Board of Trade Wednesday with wheat futures up sharply and soybean prices moderately lower.
Corn was up 7 1/4 to up 7 1/2, soybeans were off 3 1/2 to off 4 1/2, wheat was up 21 1/2 to up 23 and oats were up 2 to up 3.
Corn closed higher with support from the dollar index, which fell 0.92 percent. Wheat futures shot higher with Tunisia tendering for 100,000 metric tons of wheat, half in soft wheat, and half durum. Favorable weather in the Midwest, expected for the rest of the week, put pressure on soybean futures Wednesday.

Corn: Dec 4.46 3/4, up 7 1/2; Mar 4.59 3/4, up 7 1/2; May 4.66 1/4, up 7 1/2; Jul 4.71 3/4; up 7 1/4.
Soybeans: Sep 10.04 1/2, off 3 1/2; Nov 10.05 1/2, off 4 1/2; Jan 10.15, off 4 1/4; Mar 10.20 3/4, off 3 1/2.
Wheat: Sep 6.75 1/2, up 23; Dec 7.08 3/4, up 23; Mar 7.33, up 23; May 7.31, up 21 1/2.
Oats: Sep 2.67 3/4, up 2; Dec 2.79 3/4, up 3; Mar 2.90 3/4, up 3; May 2.96 3/4, up 3.
